TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR SUPPLY CHAIN
At Accupac, our dedication to sustainability
extends beyond internal operations to
include procurement practices and supply
chain management. To strengthen our
approach to supply chain sustainability, we
have established a Sustainable Procurement
Policy. This policy guides our sourcing
decisions by integrating ESG considerations
into our processes.
We conducted a supply chain risk assessment
to evaluate key risk factors across both direct
and indirect suppliers.1 This assessment helped
identify focus areas, and we are using these
insights to refine our supplier screening
processes and enhance related policies.
We actively seek partnerships with
suppliers who uphold labor and human
rights standards, fostering healthy and safe
working environments, fair wages, and the
elimination of forced or child labor. Our
policy prohibits discrimination, harassment,
and coercion, reinforcing the importance of
treating employees with dignity and respect.
Additionally, we encourage our suppliers to
engage with local communities and promote
diversity and inclusion within their businesses.
To support local economies, we prioritize
purchasing from local suppliers (within 200
miles) whenever possible. In 2024, 60% of
our direct materials and 80% of our indirect
purchases2 were sourced from local suppliers.
“Accupac remains focused and committed
on growing its sustainable supply chain
to ensure an ethical and environmentally
responsible supply base.”
— Senior Manager, Procurement
We prioritize working with suppliers who comply with environmental regulations and actively
strive to reduce GHG emissions. Preference is given to suppliers holding certi昀椀cations such as
the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), as well as those
committed to sustainable sourcing practices and the use of recycled materials.
To maintain ethical standards, we require suppliers to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct,
which outlines business ethics and governance principles. This includes upholding workers’
rights to organize, and preventing bribery, money laundering, fraud, and con昀氀icts of interest.
1 Indirect suppliers refer to the internal purchases including o昀케ce supplies, pallets, and machinery.
2 Indirect purchases refer to goods or services that Accupac buys that are not directly part of the 昀椀nished
product or production process, including things like o昀케ce supplies and IT equipment.
